Abstracts and Awards for Posters and Platform talks

Abstract deadline: Wednesday 1 July 2026 @ 2359 hrs

Submission of abstracts is now open for the meeting. Abstracts may be submitted by members or non members of the ILAE British Branch.

Abstracts should be submitted under one of the following 2 categories:

  • General abstract
  • Neurobiology of epilepsy

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT UNDER THE CORRECT CATEGORY

The highest scoring general and neurobiology of epilepsy abstracts will be selected for platform presentations or will be asked to present in the 'Guided Tour' section.

Abstracts for the meeting can be submitted after a delegate pass is booked and paid for. You can upload your abstract after paying for your pass, at any time up until 2359 on Wednesday 1 July 2026. A link to do this will be in your registration confirmation email.

Submission Guidance

• Titles - Maximum 25 words

• Authors and Affiliations - Maximum of 10

• Abstract - Word limit 400

• Deadline for abstract submissions: 2359, Wed 1 July

• Notification email: Wed 12 August.


General Abstracts

In the ‘General Abstract’ category, prizes are awarded for the best Platform Presentations (1st prize – £250, and 2nd prize – £125).

Abstracts can be up to a maximum of 400 words. (this does not include references).

Neurobiology of Epilepsy
In the ‘Neurobiology of Epilepsy' category, a prize will be awarded for the best Platform Presentation on behalf of the Epilepsy Research Institute (£500)
Abstracts can be up to a maximum of 400 words. (this does not include references).

In the Guided Tour session there will be two prizes awarded (1st place - £200, 2nd place - £100) for the best presenters.


Notifications will be sent out Wednesday 12 August.

All ACCEPTED abstracts will be included in the programme handbook.
